Quando nel 2006 il cantante Sergio Toledo Mosca ed il chitarrista Alessandro Liccardo formarono una band rock chiamata Shamat, non immaginavano che quasi dieci anni dopo sarebbero stati ancora insieme a suonare e sognare in grande con un nuovo progetto: gli Hangarvain. Nei primi mesi del 2013, poco dopo il rientro di Liccardo da Londra dove aveva vissuto e suonato per oltre un anno, al South Rock Studio di Ercolano iniziano le registrazioni del disco d’esordio del combo nel frattempo affiancato da due musicisti d’eccezione entrati a far parte stabilmente e con entusiasmo della band: Alessandro Stellano, bassista degli April Fools e turnista di grande esperienza, ed il batterista rock Andrea Stipa che aveva già militato nelle fila dei Mind Key per oltre dieci anni. Il disco viene completato al Cluster Sound Studio di Cuma per la fase di mixing, mentre il mastering viene fatto da Steve Corrao ai Sage Studios di Nashville, Tennessee. A giugno 2013 esce il primo singolo Free Bird che raggiunge la posizione numero 3 della Italian Rock Chart di Reverb Nation mentre il videoclip su youtube viene visto nelle prime settimane di pubblicazione da oltre cinquemila utenti singoli. A novembre 2013 dopo l’uscita del secondo singolo Through The Space And Time, la band è impegnata in un breve tour in Inghilterra dove tiene un concerto allo storico live club Nambucca di Londra. A gennaio 2014, gli Hangarvain sono al fianco dei DGM, storica formazione progressive metal italiana, nell’ambito del Music Against Festival al Duel Beat di Napoli. A maggio 2014, anticipato dal nuovo singolo Get On, esce “Best Ride Horse”, primo disco ufficiale della band pubblicato per Red Cat/Audioglobe e disponibile in tutti i negozi di dischi e nei principali store digitali. Per l’autunno 2014 è prevista la pubblicazione in Europa.

In 2006 lead singer Sergio Toledo Mosca and guitarist Alessandro Liccardo founded a band called Shamat. Now, after almost ten years, these two friends are still rocking together with a new project named Hangarvain. In the early 2013 when Liccardo came back to Italy after a year spent living and performing in London, the band started recording its debut album at the South Rock Studio in Ercolano with Alessandro Stellano (April Fools, independent) on bass and Andrea Stipa (Mind Key, April Fools) on drums. The album was mixed at Cluster Sound Studio in Cuma while Steve Corrao mastered the all ten tracks at Sage Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. When the first song entitled Free Bird was released in June 2013 it reached the position 3rd of the Reverb Nation Italian Rock Chart and more than 5000 users saw its related video on youtube during the first weeks. In November the band released its second single called Through The Space And Time and fly to England to play a gig at remarkable live club Nambucca in London. The new year 2014 start with the great show of the band opening the international prog metal superstar DGM at Music Against Festival in Naples. Hangarvain release their debut album entitled “Best Ride Horse” anticipated by the new single Get On. The album is physically available in Italy (all around Europe from Autumn 2014) thanks to the Italian rock label Red Cat (Audioglobe Distribution) and in all the digital store from May 2014.
